Chocolate Banana Muffins
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a muffin tin by greasing it or lining it with muffin liners.
Ingredients:
Prepare the Mashed Bananas
In a mixing bowl, mash the banana until smooth. Measure out about 1 cup of the mashed banana to use in the recipe.
Mix the Wet Ingredients
In the same bowl with the mashed bananas, add the melted butter, sugar, and egg. Mix well until combined.
Combine Dry Ingredients and Mix
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cacao powder, baking powder, baking soda, and a pinch of salt. Gradually add the dry mixture to the banana mixture and stir until just combined.
Fill Muffin Tins and Bake
Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Enjoy!
Allow the muffins to cool in the tin for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Serve warm, and enjoy with a glass of milk. Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days, or freeze for longer storage.
