Fried Chicken Wings with Cilantro and Lime
Gather your ingredients and prepare your workspace. Start by marinating the chicken wings in lime juice and minced garlic for at least 30 minutes.
Ingredients:
Prepare the marinade
In a mixing bowl, combine the lime juice, minced garlic, and a pinch of salt. Add the chicken wings to the bowl and coat thoroughly. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Heat the oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the sunflower oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 180°C (350°F). You can test if the oil is hot enough by dropping in a small piece of bread; it should sizzle and turn golden.
Fry the chicken wings
Carefully add the marinated chicken wings into the hot oil in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pot. Fry them for about 8-10 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove and place on a paper towel to absorb excess oil. Finally, toss with freshly chopped cilantro before serving.
Enjoy!
Serve the wings hot, garnished with freshly chopped cilantro and lime wedges. Enjoy with a side of dipping sauce or crispy vegetables. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
