Pesto Genovese Pasta

Gather all ingredients together and bring a pot of salted water to boil for the pasta.

Cook the Pasta

Cook pasta in boiling salted water according to package instructions until al dente.
Make the Pesto




In a food processor, combine basil, garlic, Parmesan, and olive oil. Blend until smooth.
Combine and Serve

Drain the pasta, reserving some cooking water. Toss the pasta with pesto, adding reserved water to achieve desired consistency.
Garnish and Enjoy
Plate the pasta and serve hot with additional Parmesan if desired.

Serve with a sprinkle of extra Parmesan on top. This dish can easily be enjoyed with grilled chicken or shrimp for added protein. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to two days.
