Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.

Pineapple

Prepare the topping

Melt 50g of butter and pour it into the bottom of the cake pan. Sprinkle 100g of sugar evenly and arrange pineapple slices over the sugar.

Make and bake the cake

In a bowl, cream the remaining butter and sugar. Add eggs and mix well. Gradually add flour and baking powder. Pour this batter over the pineapple in the pan. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until golden.
