Fried Tofu and Asparagus with Garlic Soy Sauce
Gather all ingredients. Press the tofu to remove excess moisture. Cut the tofu into cubes and trim the asparagus.
Ingredients:
Prepare and fry the tofu
Heat sunflower oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add tofu cubes and fry until golden brown on all sides, about 8-10 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Sauté asparagus and make the sauce
In the same skillet, add asparagus and cook for 3-4 minutes until tender. Add minced garlic and soy sauce, stirring for another minute to combine flavors.
Combine and serve
Add the fried tofu back to the skillet, tossing everything to coat in the garlic soy sauce. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until heated through, then remove from heat.
Enjoy!
Serve the fried tofu and asparagus warm, drizzled with the garlic soy sauce. Garnish with sesame seeds or chopped green onions if desired. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
