Fried Zucchini and Chickpeas Fritters
Gather all your ingredients and utensils. Grate the zucchini and drain off excess moisture. Drain and rinse the chickpeas. Preheat the frying pan over medium heat and have it ready for frying.
Ingredients:
Prepare the Mixture
In a large bowl, combine grated zucchini, drained chickpeas (mashed lightly), flour, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
Add Flavor
Finely chop the garlic and add it to the mixture, stirring well to ensure the garlic is evenly distributed within the mixture.
Fry the Fritters
Heat sunflower oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Drop spoonfuls of the fritter mixture into the pan, flattening them slightly. Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Enjoy!
Serve the fritters warm with a dollop of yogurt or sour cream on top. They can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. Garnish with fresh herbs like parsley or cilantro for added flavor!
