Cherry and Almond Chocolate Tart
Gather your ingredients and preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Prepare a tart pan by greasing it with butter.
Ingredients:
Melt the chocolate and butter
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chopped chocolate bar and butter. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted and smooth.
Mix wet ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg and sugar until light and fluffy. Gradually add the melted chocolate mixture to this bowl, combining well.
Combine dry ingredients
In another bowl, mix the flour and almond. Slowly add this mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
Add cherries and bake
Fold in the pitted and halved cherries gently into the batter. Pour the mixture into the prepared tart pan and bake for 25-30 minutes until set.
Enjoy!
Serve chilled, topped with fresh cherries or a dollop of whipped cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
