Classic Spaghetti Carbonara
Prepare a pot of salted water for boiling the pasta. Gather all ingredients and ensure the bacon is chopped.
Ingredients:
Cook the Pasta
Bring the salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
Prepare the Sauce
In a bowl, combine beaten eggs and grated parmesan, mixing until smooth.
Cook the Bacon
In a pan, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Drain excess fat.
Combine Ingredients
Once the pasta is done, reserve some water, and drain. Quickly mix hot pasta with bacon and then with the egg mixture, adding reserved water as needed.
Serve
Plate and sprinkle with black pepper and extra parmesan.
Enjoy!
Serve hot, garnished with additional parmesan and cracked black pepper. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
