Classic Spaghetti Aglio e Olio
Start boiling water in a large pot. Make sure to add salt once it begins to boil to enhance the pasta's flavor. Get ready to cook the garlic immediately after the pasta is done!
Ingredients:
Cook the Pasta
Add salt to the boiling water and cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving some pasta water.
Sauté Garlic
In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add thinly sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, about 2 minutes.
Mix in Chili Pepper
Add chopped chili pepper to the pan and cook for an additional minute to release its flavor.
Combine with Pasta
Add the drained pasta to the pan, tossing it with the garlic and oil mix. Add reserved pasta water as needed to achieve desired consistency. Serve immediately.
